Google API Data — OfficeDesk CLI
This section explains how the OfficeDesk command-line interface (“OfficeDesk CLI”) accesses and handles information from Google Workspace APIs. The CLI consists of command-line tools that connect to Google services on your behalf using OAuth 2.0.
Google API Services We Use
The OfficeDesk CLI may request access only to the Google services you choose to authorise.
The CLI may read or write spreadsheet content such as cell values, headers and sheet names to perform operations you request, including reading columns, appending rows or updating cells.
The CLI may access event details, calendar metadata and availability to list, create or manage events and check scheduling availability when you request it.
Access is granted through Google’s standard OAuth consent screen before any information is accessed.
How Your Google Data Is Handled
- Local processing only. Information returned by Google APIs is delivered to the OfficeDesk CLI running on your device. It may be displayed in the command line or saved locally and is not sent to OfficeDesk servers.
- OAuth tokens stay local. Access and refresh tokens created during authorisation are stored on your device and not in OfficeDesk cloud infrastructure.
- No server-side storage. OfficeDesk does not receive, retain or process your Google Sheets, Google Calendar or other Google user data on its servers.
Limited Use Disclosure
OfficeDesk CLI’s use and transfer of information received through Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
- Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing CLI features you initiate.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except when required to deliver a requested feature, protect security or comply with law.
- Humans do not read Google user data unless you explicitly consent, access is needed to investigate a security issue or access is legally required.
- Google user data is not used for advertising, retargeting or interest-based advertising.
- Google user data is not sold or transferred to data brokers or unrelated analytics providers.
- Google user data is not used to assess creditworthiness or for lending.
Revoking Access
You can revoke OfficeDesk CLI access at any time through Google Account Permissions. Locally stored OAuth tokens can also be removed by deleting the token files from the OfficeDesk configuration directory on your device.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Electronic transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce agreements.
International Data Transfers
OfficeDesk.ai and its supporting infrastructure may operate in different jurisdictions. Information may therefore be transferred, stored or processed outside your country of residence. Where applicable, reasonable safeguards will be used to protect that information.
Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
- Request access to your information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent where applicable
- Object to certain processing activities
Requests can be submitted using the contact information on this page.
